Our History
Reseda Discount Pottery & Fountains has a rich history marked by resilience and transformation. Originally operating as the largest fish tank store in Reseda, CA the business faced significant challenges following the 1994 Northridge earthquake. The earthquake, which struck with a magnitude of 6.7, had its epicenter near Reseda and caused widespread damage throughout the San Fernando Valley, including to local businesses. In the aftermath, we made the pivotal decision to reinvent our business, shifting focus from aquariums to indoor / outdoor commercial and home decor.
Today, Reseda Discount Pottery & Fountains stands as the premier destination for fountains, pottery, planters, and garden décor in the Los Angeles area. Boasting a 25,000-square-foot showroom, the store features over 1,000 running fountains on display, offering customers a unique and immersive shopping experience. Our inventory includes a wide variety of products, from classic urns and planters to contemporary designs, catering to diverse aesthetic preferences.

There was a great sale going on when I was there, but even without it the items were competitively priced. Friendly, patient staff there to answer any questions and also can deliver. I had a wonderful enchanting experience and selected a lovely fountain along with some sculptural birds, plus fantastic pottery. All fountain accessories are also available to suit individual needs. Love this place!

We made the long drive out here based on other reviews and pictures, and there is truly no place else like this in all of LA. The moment you walk through the doors the environment is serene and beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly, and Oscar was immediately available to help us out and answer all of our questions as first-time fountain buyers. We were lucky that they had a 45% off sale when we visited, but prices range for the fountains ranged from a few hundred dollars to several thousands of dollars, so there really is something for every budget. We purchased a smaller fountain that they helped me load into my car to take home and we couldn't be happier. It's a beautiful addition to our backyard and we didn't have to break the bank to get it! I cannot recommend this place enough and will absolutely be returning in the future!!

They have the best selection and the staff were great and gave lots of help. This week ithe pump stopped running and I was bummed. I also could not find my receiot. Went back to the shop and they replaced it without incident and were amazing. I was all ready for a fight because I'm conditioned for bad customer service. They were gracious and helpful. Jerry was the one who helped us, but the entire staff were great. You made a customer for life today.

They have a large variety from concrete to clay pots. They are expensive when you compare to a Home Depot or Lowe’s; however, if you are looking for extra large size pots, variety of designs, or a specific color, this is the place to go. Friendly service, delivery if you need it, and they can order if they don’t have it in stock.

We found them on google maps searching for wholesale pottery distributors, and they have such an amazing selection! We will be back in the future to pick up some more pottery or fountains for our yards. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.I wanted to write a follow-up to my original review, posted more than 10 years ago when I purchased the Henri Curving Vessel Studio Fountain (ref photo) from Reseda Discount Pottery & Fountains (RDP & F). Initially, we resided in Newbury Park (Ventura County) and in 2019, moved to Yucaipa (San Bernardino County). This becomes an important fact, in that after many years (in 2019) following its purchase, (RDP & F) arranged to come to our home in N.P. to break-down and transport our fountain, to our new home in Yucaipa; whereupon they reassembled, installed & made operational our fountain. Now, that fountain continues in service today, as it did the day it was initially installed. I should also mention that some 2-yrs following RDP & F transporting & re-installing our fountain in Yucaipa, they responded to my request to return and service the fountain by installing an upgraded pump system. Our years of experience with this company has been met with repeated courtesy, and professional, pro-customer service. They have been excellent, as has been the case with the wonderful fountain they sold to us so many years ago!

The people that worked there were very friendly and they were able to price match for us. We were able to go home the same day with a new fountain that was going to be easy to set up and turn on. This is hands down the best place we've found in California. Our first visit, we met Victor, and he was incredibly helpful. Super chill, zero pressure, and full of great ideas. We weren't ready to buy yet, so we took everything we learned and went home to think it over. When we came back for a second visit, Victor wasn't there, but the rest of the staff treated us just as well. They answered all our questions, took great care of us, and gave us an awesome deal on the fountain we fell in love with. Value, service, and quality. The display alone is like a trip to Disneyland. Do not order from the usual suspects, get out to Reseda and experience every fountain you can imagine, filled with water and working. The staff are sensational - super nice people who are incredibly helpful, funny and not at all pushy. I found the exact fountain I was looking for, and they loaded it up for me and carefully explained how to install it for the best results. Great, great business and a fun experience. Thanks!!

VerifiedReseda Discounted Fountain and Pottery is honestly overwhelming in the best way possible. I'm giving it a five out of five because there is just so much to see that you almost don't know where to start. The prices are very reasonable, the selection is massive, and the fact that you can customize pieces makes it even better. The staff was helpful and patient, which you definitely need when you're trying to take everything in. Parking is on a busy street, but I found front row parking without any issue. Just make sure you walk both sides of the property because there is a lot more than you expect. I can't wait to come back and really take my time deciding what I want.

I bought a beautiful Giannini fountain from Victor the General Manager. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and made the transaction simple. Their pricing cannot be beat, they have been at it for many years The installation staff just left here and did a beautiful, clean job for us. They were on time and efficient. I live in Rancho Santa Fe near San Diego , Ca. and I made the 120 mile drive up there to see their store. It was well worth the drive. Call Victor , he will take good care of you.

I was devastated...thanks to Oscar, they were able to replace the fountain and make it even more beautiful and impressive as the first one. It was custom painted (copper & slate black) to match the Ipe fence and lighting decor in my backyard. It's such a gorgeous focal point in my backyard. It makes my backyard feel like an oasis !

VerifiedSo the last time i was here was in 2019 , i decided to give them another try plus they had 40 or 50% off whole store, so of course i had to take advantage .Any how every one this time from staff and i think he was the manager and the owner was so kind and attentive.Big change from the last time - good work on improvement of the attentiveness , truly waiting on the customers all with a smile and you can see if it was pass their closing time they didnt rush none of the customers.Yes i bought a nice big pot all concrete they said and will last for a long time . I will be coming back !!!=)

VerifiedI've recommended Reseda Pottery to clients for years, but this was my first time dealing with them personally--and they did not disappoint. I had a very tricky situation: I had purchased a large pot not realizing the standard catch basins wouldn't fit between my pool coping and planter wall. Oscar went above and beyond to help me troubleshoot the problem. He suggested having a custom catch basin made to fit the tight space and even offered to prep the pot in-store so we'd only need to do a few things onsite. They sealed the pot, ordered all the parts, and made sure everything was ready to go. When the custom base arrived, the tubing hole wasn't centered. That didn't slow them down--Oscar's brother, "Little Jerry," and a few others got creative and carefully drilled a new hole, which took time and precision. Jerry then helped us carefully load everything into our car with care and patience. Even during the DIY installation, we had some hiccups and questions, and Oscar responded to my after-hours texts quickly with practical solutions that worked. All the guys there are genuinely helpful, knowledgeable, and clearly take pride in what they do. This kind of service is rare, and I can now confidently recommend Reseda Pottery not only as a professional but as a very satisfied customer.

But not only the amount of choices but the staff there is very knowledgeable and very helpful. VerifiedI would this is a truly wonderful place I like how big their showroom of fountains are and not just that everyone is very helpful and very friendly. When we got there i for sure said to myself we definitely need to get one fountain from this place because its so nice. They have a lot variety to choose from big small elegant simple classic they have it! And very reasonable and affordable prices as well for a very good quality of a water fountain. They gave us all that we need to set up our fountain! Would definitely recommend them to anyone who like to put a fountain in their homes.

We came a half hour before closing and Oscar showed us many options and colors for the type of fountain we wanted. Oscar and his staff were so helpful even past their closing time. While selecting our fountain, we probably took more time than most customers do (they have an incredible selection, and so many of the fountains could have been perfect fits for us)--but Oscar was incredibly patient, helpful, and thorough, answering all of our many questions with genuine care and expertise. Once we finally chose the perfect fountain, we had to delay delivery on our end due to a roof project. Oscar couldn't have been more accommodating. He worked with our shifting timeline, helped with specific measurements, coordinated delivery timing, and continued to promptly answer every question we had along the way. His level of service is rare and truly appreciated. Thanks to Oscar, the entire experience was smooth, stress-free, and even enjoyable.
